This art auction presents a wide collection of American and European artists spanning three centuries. The assemblage features works by German surrealist Paul Wunderlich, including his 1960s lithograph "Mona Lila," alongside compelling pieces by contemporary artists John Whipple and Anthony Ferrara. Ferrara's oils offer urban perspectives of Philadelphia, documenting the city's architectural character through detailed street scenes.

Philadelphia artist Florence Prince Ewing's works showcase her versatility, from Canadian mountain vistas to Hawaiian coastal scenes. Her contemporary Richard Rogers, trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, contributes modernist pieces that reflect his evolution through various artistic movements. Peter Sculthorpe's numbered lithographs capture the essence of rural American landscapes, including "The Woodsman" and "Sojourn." The collection spans multiple mediums, including oils, watercolors, lithographs, and pastels. Subject matter ranges from traditional landscapes and architectural studies to modernist compositions and figurative works. Historical depth is added through works in the style of 18th-century French artist Jean-Baptiste Greuze, while contemporary pieces bring the collection into the present day. Buyer’s Premium: 23% |
