We understand that reserves dampen the enthusiasm to make a bid. That is why we are reluctant to put reserves on lots. Having said that, there are limited situations where you will find a reserve and for the sake of openness they are: High value lots that have been consigned for sale through Woodhill Auctions are evaluated to establish a replacement value. If the item is of significant value, a reserve price may have been discussed with the seller. Typically this reserve is set at a fraction (1/10 to 1/4) of the replacement value. That is really low! Woodhill Auctions does not accept consignments where the seller has unrealistic expectations of the selling price.
