I highly recommend Anubis and Athena Estate sales. I had a huge amount of stuff that I personally could not go thru on my own when my mom passed away. Many years worth of furniture, items etc that my mom had accumulated and/or saved. Brian and Lisa were extremely helpful, quick and very efficient in getting thru all of the things to set up for an estate sale and if they found anything personal (pictures, items... So forth) they set it aside. The estate sale was a great success and I'm so happy with the work they did!!!

Estate sales are never easy. You are either downsizing and having to say goodbye to years of memories, or selling off the those of a loved one. When I had to clear out the apartment belonging to my partner of 50 years, I didn't know where to turn, so just picked a company out of a yelp list. Everyone warned me that estate liquidators ended up taking months to arrange a sale, then taking over half the profits, so I wasn't very optimistic. But I'm in my seventies and didn't have family to help or the energy to handle things on my own. Brian and Lisa were a wonderful surprise. They came out to meet me the same day I called, explained all the arrangements and set the dates for the sale. They worked with me to set up a schedule that firt in with my needs, and helped me sort out the items I wanted to keep. Jim's apartment was packed full of Asian and Victorian antiques, some of which were very fragile. Brian and Lisa andbtheir staff worked long days to price and stage everything, handling everything with great care. On the three days of the sale, they limited the number of buyers to 5 at a time, to minimize confusion and opportunities for theft (they also set up security cameras throughout the apartment.) Everything went smoothly. After the end of the sale, they arranged to take unsold items to sell on ebay or in their antique stall. They then handled clearing out the apartment and taking the last of the furnishings to the charities of my choice. Throughout the whole time they were both professional and caring. They treated me like family rather than a customer. Their percentage of the sale, and the cost of clearing out the apartment were surprisingly reasonable....far better than I had been led to expect by family and friends who had been in similar circumstances. I will always be grateful for their assistance at a very trying time. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I recently worked with A&A Estate Sales to clean out my parents’ home. It was a huge undertaking and they did a wonderful job organizing a large volume of items. My 70+ year old parents were moving out of their 5 bedroom house in Fox Chapel, and I knew they needed to have an estate sale team. I was 5 hours away in Philadelphia, and unlike the Philly area, I was surprised to see that Fox Chapel estate sales were not common. I googled a few estate companies and called A&A estate sales to come meet for a consultation. I picked them because 1) I liked that they were family run and headed by Brian and Lisa, which meant we had 2 heads rather than 1, 2) they had a lot of pictures and teasers on their website which other companies did not have, 3) Brian has a firearm sales license and my dad had guns that needed to be sold, and 4) they were very responsive and could set up a time to meet quickly! After having met them for a consultation, they were full of knowledge, easy to talk to, and very sensitive to how people may be attached to things and how the whole process works. The estate sale has just concluded and I cannot say enough good things about Brian and Lisa. They brought order to an overwhelming task. They were so hardworking and detail oriented. Lisa takes so much care in display of items and also marks steps so people don’t trip! Things I would never think of. And Brian was a calming force and always a positive presence. They were mindful to put aside sentimental items and keepsakes they would come across. They were so considerate of the space and even kept security in mind with security cameras during the sale. The sale was a huge success with a wonderful turnout. They also have services to help with clean out! Importantly, Brian and Lisa are really good people. They were very sensitive and patient with my senile father and my sometimes resistant mother. They are honest and so hardworking. Because of my dad, I put my parents in a hotel during the two day sale and we handed over the keys to the house and alarm codes to Brian and Lisa, and we wholeheartedly trusted them to handle everything. I cannot say enough good things, and I strongly recommend A&A estate sales. Couldn’t have gotten my parents moved in time without them. I hope to see them blossom in the Fox Chapel area, and would recommend them in a heartbeat to help find your precious things new homes and make the whole process of downsizing easy! 1

A & A Estates Sales owners Brian and Lisa were great to work with from our first meeting to the post sales call. They are extremely knowledgable , very professional and very easy and likeable. I was so impressed when we toured the house prior to the sale with the presentation and grouping of items for the various displays.
