Stairs up & down, no wheelchair access to upper floor. Stairs are sturdy but use at your own risk. We are posting signs at all stairs.
Please note, due to valuable items offered, security will be onsite during sale and before sale. Staff will carry all valuable and display items including jewelry, sterling, fine china and crystal, sharp medical tools, etc to the cashier for you. Please bring help to load large items.

We appreciate pickups after 3:00 PM first day of sale if possible, and after 2:00 on Sunday. Not responsible for accidents, always watch your step and take care. It is a split level with outside and inside stairs. They are sturdy and have hand rail but use at your own responsibility and risk. No wheelchair access to upstairs.
For your convenience, we provide sold tags at the door and always available from staffers for the Saturday and Sunday morning opening "rushes". Please write your name clearly on the sold tags, tag your desired item(s) and leave in place, a runner will take to cashier's holding tables for you. All valuable smalls and jewelry will be bagged and taken to the cashier holding for you by our staff. If books are not priced on the outside, they are priced in pencil just inside cover to preserve the book.
No discounts first day, everything is priced very reasonably for first day sale. You are welcome and encouraged to leave a BID the first day on items you are interested in but do not wish to purchase the first day. BID boxes and bid sheets are available several places in the home for your convenience. Second day is our fun DISCOUNT day where all is negotiable.
Security is in place in the home and by our staff, theft is strongly prosecuted. Please leave large bags, baskets, and overcoats at home or in your car. Tag large furniture and items with a sold tag and your name. We will deliver the information and price to the cashier for you. Be SURE to check to make sure all your items are there at the Cashier table when you check out. You will need your receipt to remove large pieces from home.

This fine estate includes the personal medical equipment and eyeglass antique collection of Dr. Stearns who practiced as an extremely well qualified and respected opthalmologist, an eye, ear, nose, throat doctor  from early 20th century to Mid Century in Southern Oregon, including living and based from Klamath Falls and also served Grants Pass and Medford.  It includes a large collection of scarce and rare old medical books, mostly 1st editions. It features his personal collection of medical antiques showcased by a rare bronzed metal sculptural 1880 Augustus (Ceasar)  head phantom mask bust (opthalmophantome head used in the 19th century as a surgical eye surgery teaching tool), antique and scarce eye glasses and his medical practice vintage and antique surgical tools and medical equipment.  Large and varied collection for medical collectors! of medical books tools and equipment..

Home is filled to the hilt and overflowing with multiple family heirlooms going back generations including:

( Hillcrest Rd is just past Ruhl Way) Turn right onto Fairview Dr. then watch for the estate sale signs!  No early entry, premises under security!!!  The local newspapers as well as this site will display the actual address for the sale several days before the sale and a sign up sheet for  order of Saturday morning entry will be available the day before the sale so as not to disturb the neighbors with people lining up the day before the sale. Turn slight left onto Valley View Dr. ( Valley View Dr is just past N Groveland Ave.) Take the 2nd right onto Hillcrest Rd. ( Hillcrest Rd is just past Ruhl Way) Turn right onto Fairview Dr. then watch for the estate sale signs!  No early entry, premises under security!!!  The local newspapers as well as this site will display the actual address for the sale several days before the sale and a sign up sheet for  order of Saturday morning entry will be available the day before the sale so as not to disturb the neighbors with people lining up the day before the sale. Call in (above phone number) after 12 noon Friday if you are out of town but will be there for the Saturday 10 am opening and want to have your name put on the list or if you have questions.
