Tuesday, June 21 Update - Road Construction Report, IF as you turn from Swanson Rd. onto Evergreen Ave. there's a big "Road Closed" sign, ignore it, Walker's white house is just a few houses down on the south - they just started working on manhole covers on Evergreen Ave. this week, so it may be one lane, park off street on south side  only of Evergreen Ave. OR there's plenty of parking on the grass lot that's part of the Walker's real estate.

Mary Ann Walker was a tremendous homemaker & cook, husband George was an Army veteran who worked at East Chicago's Inland Steel (Mittal). Mary Ann's parents were long-time residents of Portage when Portage was mostly farmland, in fact Randolph Street is named after her parents. So there are some very old items in this home from both Mary Ann & George's elders too.
