Camille Sobat-Mann Estate, lovinging called "Auntie Mame" for those who adore the '58 movie - Camille was full of energetic personality, generosity, enjoyed to decorate for grand parties, worked hard as a buyer at Chicago Merchandise Mart and relaxed creating her own customized beaded jewelry of which there are thousands of jewelry making plastic bead supplies, already designed necklaces, bracelets & accent jewelry, She was honored for her volunteer work with Hammond Northern Indiana Arts Association - today South Shore Arts.

 

BUY It Now!  Statue Brass-bronze 30" T x 13" W, young peasant couple, Gregoire signed, artist sculptor Jean Louis Gregoire french (1840-1890), includes 2" thick scrolled round red marble piece this displayed on - $5,250.

BUY It Now!  Statue Alabaster 16" T x 14 1/2" W x 9" D, grandmother & school boy in sailor suit & cap, sculpture title "Fairy Tale of Grandma ( La Favola Della Nonna ) by Eugenio Battiglia, even though this Italian sculptor has auction results biographical information on him is thin - Tuscany born, worked in Florence (Firenze), Italy 1800's to 1905, this piece circa 1900, haven't seen signature yet, but too heavy to move to inspect further, Condition Note:  Grandma right hand little finger broken off, small chips or white paint splashes around Grandma eyes, however most Grandma sculptures on market state hand damage or professionally repaired. Battigilia as a sculptor carves fine details right down to the fingernails. $4,900.

In fact all Estate Sales we've had in Valparaiso, Porter County-Bob worked all estate sales. Be prepared, due to any home's hallway layout, there can be staggered and delayed entry into the home, it just depends on how slow foot traffic flow moves along in the home's layout. Bring your patience with you for this home entry process. We'll get you inside as soon as we can with safety in mind. No warranties or guarantees. You must rely on your own personal inspection. Not responsible for accidents or injury. Always watch your step & your head. We don't carry. Bring your own competent adult labor who will carefully move items out of the home and off the property. A  sad time for all of us at Auctions & Estates by Cook - Lionel "Bob" Gard passed away. Many of our regulars know the sales trio of Bob & Rosemary Gard and myself. In fact all Estate Sales we've had in Valparaiso, Porter County-Bob worked all estate sales. Our dynamic trio managed over 250 Estate Sales & Auctions from City of Chicago to Elkhart & throughout small towns & cities in Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper & LaPorte Counties. He certainly was the Professor of Antiques in knowledge & experience. Bob's is a life well-lived and enjoyed. Diana places out approx. 9 am CST, Wednesday, July 31 sign up entry order sign in list. It's usually in driveway/sidewalk entrance area on lawn chair in plastic bag. Any self-started list stuck on the door by a shopper won't be honored or used. Be prepared, due to any home's hallway layout, there can be staggered and delayed entry into the home, it just depends on how slow foot traffic flow moves along in the home's layout. Bring your patience with you for this home entry process. We'll get you inside as soon as we can with safety in mind. No warranties or guarantees. You must rely on your own personal inspection. Not responsible for accidents or injury. Always watch your step & your head. We don't carry. Bring your own competent adult labor who will carefully move items out of the home and off the property. Removal on SALE DAY.  Make sure to watch when moving items that floors aren't scratched and keep distance from walls so they're not touched. Please respect neighbors & not block mail boxes or driveways, or park so far off road to ruffle or rut neighbor's grass. Please don't flip cigarette butts in yard, street, driveway or really anywhere, only in receptacle. Let's work together with health safety in mind, please keep a good distance from others.
