1. Maintenance of Payment Information — In order to place a bid or list an item, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the sale of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees. You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect amounts owed by charging other payment methods on file with us, and/or retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law.
2. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder, you are committed to purchasing and picking up your item(s) or making shipping/delivery arrangements. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
3. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pickup of your purchases on the scheduled pickup date, unless you have made prior shipping/delivery arrangements.
4. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement, or out-building.
5. Receipts are emailed to winning Bidders once the sale has completely closed and payment is secured. All invoices under five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be auto charged to the primary card on file in your user profile for the total amount. Purchases over five thousand dollars ($5,000) will require an auto charge of 10% of whatever the invoice total is. Remaining payment for those invoices must be handled between you and the Seller; invoice must be paid in full before receiving a receipt for items won. If delivery or shipping is offered by Seller, then you must select your desired item receipt method on the receipt upon the close of the sale. A shipping or delivery invoice will be created, and charges will be discussed between you and the Seller; a shipping or delivery invoice must be paid before receiving items. If you do not elect a fulfillment method and do not pick the item(s) up during the scheduled pickup time outlined on the Seller location Terms and Conditions or your Receipt, Caring Transitions reserves the right to charge your payment method on file for the greater of the total purchase price of the item plus any applicable handling and shipping charges or a $40.00 restocking fee and may ship the item to your address of record. You hereby expressly grant Caring Transitions the right to hold a winning item until confirmation of cleared funds has been received by Caring Transitions. Winning bidders with questions on payment should reference the Knowledge Base or contact the Seller.
6. If we do not hear from you by the payment deadline (24 hours after the sale closes), your items will be forfeited & resold to the next highest bidder. Additionally, your bidding privileges may be revoked.
7. Shipping is available for SOME ITEMS (Noted) at the Buyer's expense. We use USPS or UPS mail. Unless you need special handling our typical cost for handling is $15, plus our shipping cost
8. Not all Lots can be shipped. If you require shipping, please reach out to bkaune@caringtransitions.com (be sure to hyper link email) to inquire and let us know you will need shipping.
9. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items to be shipped cannot be removed from the Estate without Payment. Therefore, if Total Payment is not received before the Local Pickup date & time, the items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges may be revoked.
10. The exact address of the scheduled pickup will be provided during signups the Wednesday after the sale ends, (approx. 6:30PM).
11. All items not picked up during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. No refunds will be given.
12. A 15% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
13. We have made every effort to describe Lot items as accurately as possible. Nearly all the items sold are used. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS, and where is. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
14. Listings times have a soft close. Extra time may be added to ending times to allow bidders more time to win. This will give you time to receive an outbid notification and place a higher bid and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.
Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item.

Pickup Instruction
Local Pickup and delivery are generally required except for items are indicated as shippable, Pickups are on Saturday, March 2nd approx. 9-3:30 Reno 89511. If you do not pick a time or pick up your item as scheduled it will be donated to The Salvation Army on your behalf. Signup Genius Signups come out on Wednesdays approx. 6:30 PM and are closed approximately 7PM the evening before pickups begin. If you do not receive your notice on Wed, please contact us ASAP.
Shipping Instruction
Local Pickup is generally required UNLESS the item is specifically shown as shippable. If you desire your items to be shipped, please let us know immediately upon notification of your successful bid. You will need to send an email to bkaune@caringtransitions.com We will apply our discount, but shipping is completely at Buyer’s risk and any claim shall be handled by Buyer.
1) We generally use USPS Mail for all items that fit in a flat rate ship envelope or box. If the item does not fit in a flat rate ship box or is fragile, we generally use a 3rd party shipping company for packing and shipping, (generally UPS ground).
2. After your item(s) are paid (may include Handling fee), you will receive a separate invoice for shipping charges where shipping is allowed, the cost of shipping (including packaging by carrier), plus a $15 handling charge (special handling will be extra) will be at the Buyers Expense and must be paid by Credit Card prior to shipping. Packaging & Shipping begins the week after the conclusion of Local Pickup. Additional insurance will be required on higher priced (items over $100) items unless liability for shipment is assumed by the buyer in writing.

7. We serve mostly seniors and their families and are fiercely dedicated to protect their best interests. Seniors are a protected class and we are dedicated to serving them. As a protected class, not paying a winning bid is a potentially criminal offense.

Pick-up address: An email from "Sign-up Genius" to schedule a pickup time will be sent to all paid bidders approximately 6:30PM, Wed, February 28th. ALL local buyers MUST select a pick-up appointment time-slot using our online pick-up scheduler, Signup Genius.
Pick-up: Pickups will be on Saturday, March 2nd (approx. 9-3:30). Items will be picked and on tables for pickup, without the need for any physical contact. There will be a pickup sale during pickups! For larger items please bring necessary help, vehicles, materials for lifting, loading, protecting yourself and your items. Our Staff is not authorized to help. Please bring boxes or totes for smaller items to carry away.

If the item does not fit in a flat rate ship box or is fragile, we generally use a 3rd party shipping company for packing and shipping, (generally UPS ground). 2. After your item(s) are paid (may include Handling fee), you will receive a separate invoice for shipping charges where shipping is allowed, the cost of shipping (including packaging by carrier), plus a $15 handling charge (special handling will be extra) will be at the Buyers Expense and must be paid by Credit Card prior to shipping. Packaging & Shipping begins the week after the conclusion of Local Pickup. Additional insurance will be required on higher priced (items over $100) items unless liability for shipment is assumed by the buyer in writing. 3. All items must be paid for before they are picked up, shipped, or delivered. Payment Instruction 1. Upon winning your lot(s), your card on file will be automatically processed for payment. A Declined payment is grounds for nullifying your bid and suspending bid privileges nationally. We will notify you promptly and provide no more than 24 hours to correct the default. 2. Receipts are emailed to winning Bidders once the sale has completely closed and payment is secured. 3. To view your receipt, Login to your CTBIDS Account and go to: Invoices/Receipts. 4. Caring Transitions reserves the right to re-sell items that are not paid for within 24 hours upon the close of the sale. 5. Items will be picked and on tables for pickup, without the need for any physical contact. There will be a pickup sale during pickups! For larger items please bring necessary help, vehicles, materials for lifting, loading, protecting yourself and your items. Our Staff is not authorized to help.
