Listing times have a soft close. Extra time will be added to ending times on lots that receive bids within the final minutes, to allow all bidders a fair chance to win. This will give you time to place a higher bid in the final minutes of closing, and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.

Caring Transitions offices are independently owned and operated, terms and conditions may vary. Please ensure you read and understand the terms and conditions for any office from which you purchase. A single bid is an agreement to these terms.

 Be advised that we do not have the ability to help move or load large items.
 Please make sure you have the proper help & tools you need to move out any large items.

 Please bring any concerns to our attention, prior to leaving, so we may have an opportunity to resolve any dissatisfaction you may have with your purchased item(s).
 Any issues, or missing items, not presented to us at the time of pickup cannot be resolved due to factors beyond our control.
 We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase and assume you are unless you make us aware of issues during your pick up before you leave the premises.
 Any items not claimed on pickup day are also considered abandoned and will be donated or resold immediately with NO REFUNDS.
 You or someone you appoint are committed to retrieving all items on pickup day during pickup hours.

A “sign-up genius” link for scheduling a pickup time will be on your invoice.
• Schedule your pickup time immediately after receiving your invoice so you may secure your desired pickup time.
• Pickup times are staggered, as many times parking and access to the auction location are limited.
• Customers will be assisted first, in order of scheduled pickup times, and secondly, by order of sign-in. Scheduling your pickup and/or notifying us of your shipping or delivery needs within 24 hours of winning a bid is MANDATORY!
• Late scheduling requires additional labor preparing your invoice, emailing reminders, updating our system, etc. Please do not be late.

PACKING/SHIPPING:
• We do not provide cost estimates for shipping.
• Shipping costs are determined once an item has been packed, measured, and weighed.
• An estimate can be gathered from a UPS store with the size, and weight estimation and the ship to and from zip codes.
• We always ship from 06437
• Keep in mind that shipping costs may exceed the value of an item so please bid accordingly.

When you bid on an item and request shipping - you are buying, and we are shipping the entire lot. We are unable to ship partial lots - as we have no way to deal with the unwanted items in a lot without cost to us and our clients. Simply asking us to donate - is a cost to us and/or our clients as it requires transport to a donation center.

• Shipping is available at the buyer's expense.
• If you would like to have your purchases shipped, please select the "Shipping" option that can be located when you select 'Invoices/Receipts' in your CTBids account.
• You can also notify us, via email @kwarner@caringtransitions.com, immediately after winning.
• Packing/shipping charges will be billed once your initial invoice has been paid, we have received notice shipping is needed, and we have had a chance to pack your items.
• Shipping charges will be invoiced through CTBids.
• Packing/shipping can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, but we do strive to have items shipped within 2 weeks of the auction pick up day.
• If you have not received an updated invoice (via email or within CTBids) within three weeks of the auction pick up date, please contact us via email @kwarner@caringtransitions.com
• Shipping charges are determined by the shipping carrier and are added to the packing fees.
• Insurance above the amount provided by shipper, equal to the invoice amount, will be added to shipping costs, unless otherwise directed in your shipping confirmation email.
• We will pack & ship using the least costly shipping provider. It may be FedEx Ground or USPS for the items we pack.
• Some items may be shipped via UPS.
• Other carriers are used as special request only.
• Additional charges are assessed for special shipping requests such as carrier, packing method, and more starting at a minimum of $20.

• The “Billing To” address from your invoice is used to set up an initial account profile for all your shipping purchases.
• All future packages will be shipped to this same address unless you change the address on your account profile AND email us regarding this change before the scheduled pick-up day.
• You MUST email and alert us of this change in address before the pickup day, or your old profile information will be used for shipping.

Packing fees are charged by the lot.
• The cost for packing is $10 for the first lot (a lot is any item or group of items with a single price point) and $5 for each additional lot being shipped.
• This cost is per invoice.
• If you have an unusually large lot or unusual shaped/fragile items, you may be charged an additional material cost or the cost for Pak Mail to pack and ship the item(s).
• A $10 handling fee will be charged for arranging the packing and mailing of your invoice.

If you have not requested shipping of your items by the payment & scheduling deadline you will be billed a restocking fee of $15.00 on top of packing and shipping cost.

Once billed for shipping, you will have an email notification from FedEx as well with your tracking information. If you have confirmed and paid the ctbids revised invoice for shipping fees within 7 days of billing (which is typically 1 week following pick up day), your items will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. No refund will be issued, and your account may be suspended for non-payment.
