This is a genuine Ek Commando Knife of the style that John Ek, in the early days of WWII, called the Style 1. This "1" is the first number on the blade. The actual serial number is "E" followed by the digits between 001 and 300, in this limited edition of only 300 knives. The grips for this special edition are Rock Maple, as used on the WWII Era knives, affixed with genuine poured lead rivets, customary during that period.
