Bidder Terms & Conditions
10% Buyer's Premium, plus a 3% convenience fee for credit card transactions. Any participating activities, including but not limited to, registering and bidding, formally indicates that the acceptance of the following terms & conditions. Failure to not completely read these terms and conditions of sale and/or a lack of understanding does not negate them. As the bidder, you are solely responsible for understanding all statements. All items are sold "AS-IS, WHERE IS" in their CURRENT CONDITION WITHOUT GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND AND WITH ANY AND ALL FAULTS. The applicable buyer's premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot, plus an additional 3% (three-percent) credit card convenience fee. The aforementioned fees are only a part of the total purchase cost. Other costs and fees can include, but are not limited to, handling fees, material costs, per lot fees, shipping and insurance costs, sales tax (if applicable), etc. All costs should be considered and taken into account when determining any and all bids. Any questions pertaining to fees and additional costs should be directed to Rentzel's Auction at (717) 577-1886. The catalog available online is a numbered list of all items/lots to be offered for sale at auction on this given day. Any statements, or lack thereof, made in regards to accuracy of descriptions, typographical errors, condition, size, authenticity, age, restoration, reproductions, quality, historic relevance, or otherwise, are all for catalog information only and do not represent warranties, guarantees, or representations, of any kind. Again, physical inspection is highly encouraged by all bidders. NOTE: By placing a bid online, the bidder has signified that they have examined the items to their complete satisfaction and/or they have chosen not to physically examine the items and waive any and all rights regarding the aforementioned pertaining to each item/lot. All item descriptions are based upon visual inspection only. All measurements are approximate and are used for general descriptive purposes only. Bidders are solely responsible for determining the condition and authenticity of items. Physical inspection of items is highly encouraged, since they are used and not new. The condition of items are subject to change. The auction process warrants a multitude of handlers, prior to, during, and after the auction. Item conditions may be altered, including but not limited to, new or additional cracks, tears, rips, leaks, separations, missing pieces, or becoming defective. NO GUARANTEE IS MADE ON CONDITION. The auctioneer determines the highest bidder. As an online bidder you assume any risk associated with "winning" an item and not actually having the item sell to you. This is due to (1) the final hammer of the auctioneer and (2) once a lot is closed on the online bidding platform the operator may not able to re-open that lot. Rentzel's Auction Service, Inc. is not responsible for, and shall not be held liable for any errors, omissions of, or failure to carry out an absentee bid, regardless of how the bid was submitted. This also includes any technical failures that may arise during the auction that affect absentee bids, including but not limited to, internet connections, telephones, computers, and networks. Any and all measurements are approximate and are for use as a general guide to size. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS ACCEPTED OR REFUNDS GRANTED and ITEMS ARE PURCHASED "AS-IS." The auctioneer reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids. The final call of the auctioneer or fall of the hammer of a lot to the highest bidder formally indicates the change of title and possession passes to that high bidder, regardless of the bidding method used, including in-house, online, or via an absentee bid. Immediately upon this transfer, the high bidder assumes all responsibility and/or risk of the lot(s) purchased, including but not limited to loss, theft, damage, etc. All items are being sold with NO returns and ITEMS ARE PURCHASED "AS-IS." Internet bidders, be aware that in the case of any internet connection or computer failures, etc. the live auction will proceed as scheduled. AGREEMENT REGARDING GOVERNING LAW, VENUE, AND LEGAL RIGHTS: I hereby understand and agree that any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to Rentzel's Auction Service, Inc. Bidder Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. I hereby irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of the appropriate court in York County, Pennsylvania in any action or proceeding arising out of or relating to the claims and their enforcement, and I agree that any and all claims must be adjudicated, heard, determined, and resolved in said court, and I hereby irrevocably waive any objection on the ground that any such action or proceeding in said court has been brought in an inconvenient forum. Payment: We will send Invocies out the afternoon of Monday Afternoon July 24. For Invooices under $2,500.00 we will bill your card on file automaticllay (No Exceptions). Bidders Invoices over $2,500.00 will have the option of paying by wire transfer, cash, bank / certifed check if approved by auctioneer. HiBid Bidders: When registering for an absentee/online bid, a credit card will be required. Once the credit card information has been provided, Rentzel's Auction Service, Inc. reserves the sole right to automatically charge any and all winning total(s) to the credit card on file if the registered bidder is a successful high bidder. The winning total will consist of the hammer price(s) of the lot(s) successfully won, plus any applicable buyer's premium, applicable sales tax and 3% credit card convenience fee. NO shipping PICKUP ONLY!!!! Payment must be made within (4 days) of auction day. Non-payment will result in item(s) being forfeited by bidder and either returned to the consignor or resold. Failure to remit payment for items won and/or shipping services provided will result in that bidder being suspended and/or blocked from bidding at any auctions hosted by Rentzel's Auction. As a result, legal action will be taken if necessary to protect the interests of Rentzel's Auction Service, Inc., its employees, consignors, and other bidders Pickup Terms: NO SHIPPING!!!! Ater the auction you will be emailed & texted from shipping saint to schedule your pickup. You must schedule a day and time for pipckup on the shipping saint site. Pickup days and times will be Friday July 28 12-6PM and Sat. July 29 9am -2PM. Items not removed by July 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM will be considered abandoned and resold or thrown away with no refund or notification to the buyer. Special Pickup Days may only be arranged for lot 193A the 1965 Corvette in Altoona and lot 6A the 2 Chandaliers. Title transfer by Appointment with ther Swigart Museum.
