Caring Transitions of Somerset County warmly welcomes you to our Lladro Black Legacy Series Online Sale on CTBIDS!
This Lladro Black Legacy collection features sculptures of African-American individuals in a range of activities and poses, including dancers, musicians, and families, all of which are designed to capture the grace and beauty of Black culture. This series has become very popular amongst collectors due to its unique style and high-quality craftsmanship.
Here you will find the most famous figurine in the collection, Lladro’s porcelain representation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (#7528). Lladro also issued a group of 6 jazz musician figurines as part of the collection which were well-received by collectors. The group consisted of Jazz Sax (#5833), Jazz Bass (#5834), and Jazz Horn (#5832) which were released in 1991 and Jazz Drums (#5929), Jazz Duo (#5930) and Jazz Clarinet (#5928) which were issued the following year.
Another popular series consists of young ladies in elegant gowns – Sharia (#6180), Velisa (#6181), and Wanda (#6182).
Another group of figurines from the collection features a family theme with some of the most popular examples being Family Roots (#5371), A Moment to Remember (#6815), Daddy’s Little Sweetheart (#6202), Kisses for Mommy (#8205), and A Mother’s Embrace (#6851).
Other delightful figurines in the Black Legacy Series include Making Rounds (#6256), Pretty Bird (#8131), Pretty Flowers (#8132), and Winds of Romance (#6783).
