Listing Information

Longtime Davis Island residents, the late Audrey and Alfred Haubenstock, were both known for expertise in their respective fields, and in their hobbies, as well as for being a vital part of the greater Jewish community here in the Tampa Bay Area. Mrs Haubenstock was the chief photographer and editor of The Jewish Floridian newspaper. She also served as President of Tampa Jewish Family Services. Mr Haubenstock was born in New York, New York and was a military pilot during World War II. Throughout his life he owned several local Ethan Allen furniture stores here in Tampa and in the surrounding area. The home is filled with several pieces of quality Ethan Allen furniture. The Haubenstocks also enjoyed the fine arts, as can be seen in numerous pieces of artwork that will be for sale throughout the house. They were very involved in certain local libraries as well, so their love for reading and collecting books can be seen in many of the rooms. One of the more unique items that will be for sale is a New York Yankees chair that was signed by Derek Jeter, who at one time lived here on Davis Island too. Everything in the house, except a few of the major appliances, will all be for sale. We’re excited and honored to be conducting the estate sale for their family, and look forward to welcoming you into the Haubenstock’s home. The 3-day estate sale will be open to the general public. The sale dates are Friday August 12 - Sunday August 14, from 8am - 3pm daily. For those wondering if the house is for sale, which is a question we’re usually asked when conducting estate sales, yes it has been listed with a realtor already, so if you’d like, we can pass along your contact info. Please be mindful of the narrow street when parking on the sale days, allowing ample room for other vehicles to get past yours. Thank you! We appreciate it, and know the neighbors will too.
