Once an item has been sold at auction it is then the responsibility of the purchaser to secure their items. All purchases must be paid in full prior to loading and removing from sale site. No items are to be removed from auction site until payment has been received.
Payment Options: Cash, Check or Credit Card in full day of sale. A 4.0% surcharge will be applied to all Credit Card Invoices. If funds must be wired a $25.00 wire fee will be applied to invoice. Tugwell Auction will assist with loading purchases on the day of the auction and the Monday after the auction. Any other loading is the responsibility of the buyers. PERSONAL PROPERTY will BE SOLD on BOTH Saturdays Marshall Van Winkle (deceased) Mr. Marshal Van Winkle, a resident of New Bern, NC passed away peacefully February. Mr. Van Winkle was an entrepreneur who owned five businesses in his lifetime including Van Winkle Marine in Eatontown, NJ. He moved to New Bern, NC in 1980. Mr. Van Winkle was an avid antique car enthusiast and collected many, many items. Mr. Van Winkle purchased his pride and joy, the 1924 Tudor Sedan Model T Ford. His Model T is the most awarded car of any car class in the history of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), which won 165 Preservation Awards. It also received a 1st Grand National Award, a total of nine Senior Grand Nationals, and a National Award as the top car in its class in the country. Mr. Van Winkle was a member of the AACA, the Holland Society of NY, the North Shore Antique Club in New Jersey and the NC Region of AACA. In 1992, he was a founding member of the First Capital Antique Auto Club in New Bern. The Marshall Van Winkle Automotive Systems Technology Scholarship was established in his name at Craven County Community College. Mr. Van Winkle was a past Commodore of the Long Branch Iceboat & Yacht Club and was a life member. Tugwell Auction & Realty Co. has been commissioned to sell Mr. Van Winkle’s thousands of very interesting and valuable antiques, including his automobiles and collectables. Tugwell Auction & Realty Co. will also be selling Mr. Van Winkle’s real estate. Mr. Marshall Van Winkle, a well-known resident of New Bern, NC since 1980 passed away in February 2022. He was an entrepreneur who owned five businesses in his life time.
