You at bidding on 32 Surplus WMATA Buses. These buses have been drained off all fluids and checked by staff. There is a total of (32) buses including (18) 2009 NEW FLYER 62 FT HYBRID- DIESEL buses, (11) 2006 NEW FLYER 40 FT HYBRID- DIESEL buses, (2) 2006 NEW FLYER 40.9 FT DIESEL buses, and (1) 2011 NEW FLYER 41 FT Diesel bus. These buses are considered scrap buses and some have parts missing to service other buses still in service. The battery packs for the HYBRIDS are still located on the top of the scrap buses. Please feel free to come out and inspect before bidding. These buses are located in 3 different locations on WMATA property in the DMV area. WMATA employees are prohibited from purchasing Metro surplus property, either directly or indirectly through other parties, regardless of the method of sale.
