SATURDAY MARCH 5th, 10:OO AM, 1835 SOUTH PLEASANTS HIGHWAY, ST. MARYS WV

From the intersection of Route 2 and the Ohio River bridge in St. Marys, continue South on Route 2 for 3/4 miles, sale is on the left, watch for sign. From Parkersburg take Emerson Ave. to Route 2 (Intersection at I-77). Continue North on Route 2 for approx. 25 minutes. Sale is on the right side of Route 2 halfway up the last hill 3/4 miles from St. Marys city limits. Watch for sign.

We are pleased to have been commissioned to sell the household furnishings and personal property from the estate of the late James R. Hesson, well known resident of St. Marys as well as one relocation and 2 partial estates in storage.

AUCTIONEERS NOTE: This would have  to be classified as a very large sale with many categories of household, collectible, and personal property as you will see in the photo gallery. it will take a couple of days to get it all on line. There are large amounts of common and uncommon power and hand tools,  furnishings for kitchen, bedroom, living & dining room plus many antiques and collectibles.

Many items in this sale will be sold in "lots' due to the amount of items to be sold. If you are setting up housekeeping, buying for resale, collecting or updating this is a sale well worth attending. We will be providing descriptions and information on sale items plus photoscontinually up to sale date so check here periodically for updates.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

When I say there is a large variety of tools in this sale, you can see by the photo gallery that it doesn't mean just a few items in every category.There are large amounts of items in all categories. Wood and metal working include: portable electrictric planers, heavy bench planer,belt sanders, oscelating sanders, rotary sanders plus boxes of new belts & discs, bench scroll saw, hand scroll saws, reciprocal saws, circular saws, air & electric frraming nailers, finish nailer, roofing nailerd (large boxes of collated nails of various sizes & types), loads of small & large C-clamps and other speciality clamps for woodworking, metal working, welding etc., odrill drivers of many brands & types including angle drills (both battery &air dreiven), hundreds of drill bits (extra long and standard), at least several or more routers (soome look brand new) and loads of router bits of all types & sizes (some in wood cases), table top router bench, Tap & Die tools, air & electric metal sheers, Side grinders, 10ft 5in. TAPCO SHEET METAL BRAKE, ON STAND, AND 36in. CENTRAL MACHINERY METAL BRAKE WITH STAND. There are as many air tools in this sale as there are electric if not more. COLLECTIBLES & FUN: There are antiques & collectibles spread  throughout the sale among all categories of sale items including tools, furniture, household, farm etc. One that catches my attention most is the double handled Barn Beam auger. I tore down 3 post Civil War barns (for the materials)when I lived in Western New York. The hand hewn beams were fastened with wood pegs driven in holes drilled by these 1870's era tools. They were as tight as the day they were put togrther. There are other old tools as well in this sale (see Gallery). We have a 1998 "collector's edition HO train set "Foodland Express" that is still in the original box. There is a quite large Steam Engine and Freight cars with track "Bachman's Big Hauler". Note!! radio cointrols not with it, but it would make an impressive display in a commercial business or home family room. There are some collectible coins, A few Morgan Dollars, Buffalo & V nickles, and some later dimes & many wheat pennies 1940's & 50's. The most collectibles may be among the foreign coins according to our researcher. Most will be sold in lots or bags. 

 

TRACTOR AND MOTORCYCLE: Both of these items were in the process of being restored when seller passed away. The tractor is an Allis Chalmer 's CA model (circa 1950). We have the old original owners mauals with maintenance and repair information Pictured". They are old but readable. It also has what looks like the "Pick-up Plow with discs pictured in one manual that will be sold with it. The Motorcycle is a "Suzuki GS-550". We have not tried to put these items in running condition for rear of doing more harm than good. They both look like nice machines and the buyer can decide the degree of restoration.

COLLECTIBLES & FUN: There are antiques & collectibles spread  throughout the sale among all categories of sale items including tools, furniture, household, farm etc. One that catches my attention most is the double handled Barn Beam auger. I tore down 3 post Civil War barns (for the materials)when I lived in Western New York. The hand hewn beams were fastened with wood pegs driven in holes drilled by these 1870's era tools. They were as tight as the day they were put togrther. There are other old tools as well in this sale (see Gallery). We have a 1998 "collector's edition HO train set "Foodland Express" that is still in the original box. There is a quite large Steam Engine and Freight cars with track "Bachman's Big Hauler". Note!! radio cointrols not with it, but it would make an impressive display in a commercial business or home family room. There are some collectible coins, A few Morgan Dollars, Buffalo & V nickles, and some later dimes & many wheat pennies 1940's & 50's. The most collectibles may be among the foreign coins according to our researcher. Most will be sold in lots or bags. 

 

TRACTOR AND MOTORCYCLE: Both of these items were in the process of being restored when seller passed away. The tractor is an Allis Chalmer 's CA model (circa 1950). We have the old original owners mauals with maintenance and repair information Pictured". They are old but readable. It also has what looks like the "Pick-up Plow with discs pictured in one manual that will be sold with it. The Motorcycle is a "Suzuki GS-550". We have not tried to put these items in running condition for rear of doing more harm than good. They both look like nice machines and the buyer can decide the degree of restoration.
