This is the Charles Palmer House built in 1890. Charles Palmer was the co-founder of Imlay City. He and William Imlay flipped a coin to determine if the town would be called Palmerville or Imlay City. Charles Palmer was a big part of the development of the city. He helped set up the railroad, The Palmer Hotel, and many other establishments. This home is on the National Registry of Historic Homes.
