• Antique FCB Sword Scabbard Fraternal Knights of Pythias; Manufactured by the Cincinnati Regalia Co.          -This Antique sword was manufactured by the Cincinnati Regalia Co. The Cincinnati Regalia Company distributed a very limited number of swords. You will find very few swords bearing the Cincinnati Regalia Company name because of their limited distribution, therefore the swords are considered rare . The Knights of Pythias is a fraternal organization and secret society founded in Washington, DC , on 19 February 1864. The Knights of Pythias was the first fraternal organization to receive a charter under an act of the United States Congress. It was founded by Justus H. Rathbone , who had been inspired by a play by the Irish poet John Banim about the legend of Damon and Pythias . This legend illustrates the ideals of loyalty, honor, and friendship that are the center of the order. It has a Knights head pommel with Lion, a symbol of a Full Knight. The handle cross protector has griffin ends and FCB "Friendship, Charity, Benevolence", and the UR on the other side is for Uniformed Rank.
