Other early Skaneateles and Central New York collectors are represented here. There is even a grouping of objects from world famous 19th century Irish Antiquarian "Robert Day" (b. 1836 d. 1914) including Letters, Stone Objects and a Bronze 10th century "Irish Harp Pin".... Note: This Home was Host to President William Clinton & First Lady Hillary Clinton. The Clinton's stayed at the Mansion on two separate visits to Central New York. We will be selling many items that were in the home during those visits including the King Sized Bed that the Clinton's slept in!  You could be the owner of the Bed that a President slept in (and maybe TWO Presidents if Hillary decides to run in 2016!!!). The property has also been host to the "Baldwin" family of entertainment world fame…having occupied the premises during several vacations to the area. Charity Wine & Cheese Sneak Preview This Week!

From the bed that President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton slept in, furniture that the Famous Baldwin Brothers and Family gathered around, MacKenzie-Childs and Signed Patience Brewster items… to the most important collection of New York State Native American Artifacts and Documents to come available in decades will be part of the Estate Auctioned off on Friday, November 28th starting at 11:00am. The auction venue will be the impressive McDonald Estate at 3007 East Lake Road, Skaneateles, NY 13152. This is one of the few times that the public will actually get a chance to visit and tour the grand interior of this 10 bedroom estate. There will be a Sneak Peek Charity Wine and Cheese preview benefiting the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Fund the day before thanksgiving, Wednesday November 26th from 4:30pm-7:30pm. 100% of the proceeds collected at the door and LOT 1 of the auction catalog will be donated to the Fund. Lot 1 is an oil painting of Alec Baldwin. His brother Stephen commissioned two paintings, one of Alec and the other of Alec’s wife at the time actress Kim Basinger, as a birthday gift for the couple. Owners Tom and Cathy McDonald are moving out-of-state and selling all the contents of their home. They have been empty nesters since 2010 and split their time between Manhattan and Florida residences. This is the chance for the public to own a piece of history. Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton spent five days at the McDonalds' estate in August and September of 1999. They also stayed there in 2000. Actors Billy Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin and their families have stayed at the home as well. This auction is being presented by Terri Peters & Associates auction and estate marketing.
