PICK UP: For firearms - by Appointments only. We will send a sign up link with your invoice after the close of the entire auction.

No Charge for NICBC (Background) Checks

*NOTE: New York State law requires that a National Instant Criminal Background Check must be completed prior to all firearm sales or transfers, including sales or transfers of rifles or shotguns. The sale of transfer of a firearm, rifle or shotgun at a gun auction without first conducting a Background Check is a crime.

** If you are tax exempt you MUST notify us prior to the close of the auction, along with a copy of the form, if not you will be charged tax. We cannot remove tax once the card has been processed.

If you would like your items shipped please contact our office as soon as possible with shipping information, including your FFL (If required) Any item deemed to large to ship in house will be brought to the UPS Store at your expense.

All Ammo is shipped via UPS - no Ammo can be shipped to a NYS resident but can be shipped to an FFL near you.

Everything is sold AS IS. WHERE IS. All Sales are Final- No Returns.
Hessney Auction Co. provides ample opportunity for buyers to thoroughly inspect goods to be sold. All purchases should be made on the buyer's own recognizance. All persons bidding in absentee who have not physically inspected the goods prior to the sale are also subjected to these terms. All lots are sold "As is". There are no warranties expressed or implied, including, but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Hessney Auction Co. and consigners make no guarantee or warranty as to the authenticity of the merchandise, the correctness of the catalog, nor shall any description (oral or written) of condition, size, quality, rarity, importance or provenance be deemed a guarantee.

* Condition is listed with obvious flaws, or noted if firearm are new, unfired in box. "As New" does not mean "New" it is a condition report, meaning the firearm is "as new condition". If a firearm is brand new- unfired, it will be listed as so.


Buyers Premium:
All sales are subject to a Buyer's Premium; reference to the buyer's premium is made in auction advertisments, flyers and catalogs. Buyer's premium will be a stated percentage and must be paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.

* This is a public auction and not a retail setting. All sales are final. No returns or chargebacks are accepted.

* Some items may be sold per peice. The bid price is multiplied by the amount of items in the lot. This is shown on the catalog using the bid price x quantity. (Example "$12.50 x 4" equals a total bid of $50.00)

PICK UP FOR FIREARMS WILL BE BY APPOINTMENT: Monday-Wednesday after Auction *(LINK FOR APPOINTMENTS will be sent in emails with your invoice. ** If you are purhasing any firearm please be sure you are buying it under YOUR NAME. No one else can buy or pick up a firearm. Only the name of the purchaser. PICK UP for accessories smalls, etc. - If you do NOT have paperwork to fill out you may come between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday - Wednesday. Please be prepared to wait if we are busy, we will do our absolute best, our top priority is keeping customers and staff SAFE. ** WE ARE CLOSED THURSDAY AND SUNDAYS Please bring someone to help load the items you purchase. If you buy heavy furniture, Gun safes, bring TWO capable people to help you load! Our employees will be busy checking out customers. * If you cannot make these pickup days, simply reply to this email with your name and what you purchased, we can schedule another pickup within a RESONABLE time frame. Hessney Auction is an FFL DEALER* All paperwork for firearms will be done on site. * If you purchase a handgun that needs to be added to your pistol permit, PLEASE contact your county for information. You can print our the paid invoice we email you and bring this (send it whatever your counties rules are) to your pistol permit office. They will add the handgun to your permit and issue you a purchase coupon for your handgun. You will then come pick up your hangun at Hessnet Auction Center (Be sure to bring NYS pistol permit, reciet and purchase coupon. Each county may have different hours/instructions due to COVID-19. We realize most cannot pick up this coming week, simply make an appointment by email for Monday - Wednesday the following week (or when you receive your purchase coupon) All firearm purchases require a Federal Background Check (Nics Check) unless you have a Federal Firearms License. All pistols require a pistol permit unless you have a federal firearms license. Some firearms are not NYS compliant. Read the descriptions prior to bidding. SHIPPING: If you would like your items shipped, please respond to the email we send when you recieve your invoice asking for SHIPPING and Include your name and verify address. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We are very busy Monday - Wednesday with local pick up so it may be Thursday before we are able to respond. We will charge your registration credit card for your purchases. Once the shipping is calculated we will charge your card for a second time. This process is much more convenient for us. Items typically ship within a week and a half. WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. We are willing to ship any items through USPS Priority mail or UPS . The cost of shipping, handling and insurance will be charged to the buyer's credit card. Shipping is done in house when possible or via UPS Store in Geneva. WE CANNOT GIVE QUOTES. Please read below for a better idea on ranges. If you are unsure on shipping please come pick up, once we pack an item it will be shipped, all prices depend on weight and zone of where the item is being sent. ** Firearms Shipping: Please have your FFL email us a copy of their license for shipment, be sure they include YOUR NAME or if you are a C & R please email us a copy of your license. When we receive the FFL/C & R we will then begin to pack your items. All postage, insurance and $10 handling fee will be added to EACH shipment for firearms. ** Ammunition Shipping: NYS RESIDENTS: All ammunition must be shipped to an FFL. All out of state buyers we will follow any federal regulations for shipping and Ammo is shipped via UPS due to restrictions with USPS. We do not ship powder. There will be a $5 handling fee per package. * ALL SHIPMENTS MUST BE PAID FOR BY THE BUYER. Please be aware that we are not Amazon and shipments require fees for materials, pickup, and USPS, or UPS fees.
