The “Unique” and the “Boutique” come from the days when our client was a professional costume maker, actor, and stage manager. This sale features a huge amount of high-quality fabrics, trim, and other notions, patterns of all kinds, sewing supplies, and completed garments from her theatrical work, in addition to select vintage items sold in her costume and vintage clothing boutique. The pattern collection on sale here includes originals from as far back as 1893 and goes right through to historical reproduction patterns, national folk costumes, even costumes based on Star Trek! Our client was ALSO a highly-accomplished belly-dancer, and you'll find full dance costumes as well as patterns and materials for more belly-dancing ensembles. In addition, our client spent years working in West Hollywood, married to a musician, and hanging out at Doug Weston's Troubadour, the legendary club that hosted Elton John's first US performance, gave Linda Rondstadt and Steve Martin their breaks, and hosted scores of the best musicians of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
