This is a small home, and at first, we were unsure of the value of personal items. But as we dug, we began to find a great many unique and wonderful items. Owner was an amateur, but extremely competent collector. We are still going through the array of items, but have found some wonderful treasures so far. The goods being prepared for sale so far include:
Beautiful chanille
fabric overstuffed couch and matching chair; vintage three tiered
Globe-Wernicke Co. lawyers bookcase; excellent full-lenght pull-out
couch; vintage 1930's dining table with six matching chairs with
embroidered seats; circa 1890's Sessions mantle clock; Victorian 1870's -
1880's wall clock; 1870's Waterbury chime mantle clock; vintage 1950's
Marwal bust; signed and numbered Toscano lithographs; scores of 45rpm
records and LP's; mid-century glasses and dinnerware; Masonic souvenires
and collectibles; GE washer & dryer; vintage milk tank; table saw;
vintage 1970's Murray Monterey ladies bicycle; early 1920's dresser;
large 19th century trunk; small early 20th century children's chairs;
gorgeous carved wood 1930's buffet, sewing items (and jars and jars of
vintage buttons); Christmas items; books; linens; ladies clothing -
dresses and shoes; antique 19th century chairs; electronics, including
stereo equipment; "Made in Occupied Japan" pottery; McCoy vases; German
and Czech crystal; hand and power tools; and many more furniture items
and smaller pieces, from the 1850's to the 1960's, from magnificent to
kitsch. All must be gone. Remember, this is a small house, so if
there is a large crowd, we will only allow small groups at a time into
the sale (we are still discussing options - either sign in sheet or
tickets). Finally, because we will be busy with several sales this month, we wil not be able answer any questions, either by phone or email. We apologise in advance, but hope you'll undertand. If you are interested in any of the items, please come by and enjoy a day of shopping! |
