Please read the following terms and conditions before bidding to familarize yourself with auction process:

*All items sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with all faults.

* There is a 5% buyers premium

* All descriptions believed to be accurate but not warrented. While John Carl Auction Company does its best to inspect & describe items you the bidders are the experts in looking at items.

* By placing a bid, bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction, or that they have chosen not to personally examine them.

****You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase any alcohol. If you are the winning bidder on any alcohol, you must provide identification at pickup.******

*John Carl Auction Company reserves the right to bid on behalf of the seller to reserve price.

*John Carl Auction Company reserves the right to reject any and all bids at any point. John Carl Auction Company also reserves the right to reopen any lots in the case of a dispute or system failure. No questions asked.

*Once an online sale is complete you are responsible for the items unless a dispute of any kind occurs.

*Once an auction ends you have 7 days from sale end date to contact us to pick up or have your items shipped. If you items are not picked up or shipping is not arranged after the 7 days they become the property John Carl Auction Company regardless of payment unless prior arrangments are made.

* We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. A 5% surcharge will be applied if paying with credit card. Cards automatically get charged at close of sale unless another options is agreed upon. You must tell John Carl Auction Company ahead of auction close if you are a cash buyer. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS. No questions asked.

*We do not ship everything. Furniture, larger items, and some fragile items we do not ship. If we do not ship an item, it will be marked "local pickup only" or something similar. You will have to arrange for pickup or delivery for these items

*For items that are shipped, you have 7 days from the time you receive your item(s) to let us know of defects or damage that was not noted of in the description or the pictures.

*Once you pay for your items please allow about 1 to 2 weeks for delivery. Winning bidders and buyers will be responsible for paying all shipping, handling, postage, and insurance fees. Call 717-618-9727 with any questions related to shipping. Items will not be shipped until payed for in full including shipping & handling costs.

*Used caution when opening packages. John Carl Aucion Company will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items during shipping. Any package that arrive less than satisfactory should be immediately reported to us or the carrier service used.

This will be an online only benefit auction for Help The Fight! They are not having their annual public benefit auction this year but instead are doing an online only auction! They have been doing their annual benefit auction since 2009. Bidding for this auction will open on Friday October 2nd and will end on Saturday October 17th. Winning bidders may pick up their items at the Help The Fight office afterwards at 143 Oakridge Drive Mountville, PA 17554. Items be offered for sale on the auction include autographed sports memorabilia, autographed movie memorabilia, gift baskets, Crosley Entertainment Center, furniture, purses (Michael Kohrs, Vera Bradley, Coach, Kate Spade, and more), Longaberger baskets & pottery, jewelry, handcrafted items, Schwinn 270 Recumbent Bike, large deer topiary, decorative items, and much more! ****You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase any alcohol. If you are the winning bidder on any alcohol, you must provide identification at pickup.****** HOW ONLINE AUCTIONS WORK Registering/Payment When registering for an online auction you must register with a valid mailing address, phone #, email, and credit/debit card. Payments we accept are cash, Visa/Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. There is a 5% surcharge for debit/credit cards. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS AS PAYMENT. If you are picking up your winning items and prefer to pay cash you may. You must let us know in advance that you are paying in cash. We charge cards automatically after the sale is over so be sure to let us know if you prefer to be a cash payer. If you are getting your items shipped you must pay with debit/credit card. There is a 5% surcharge for debit/credit card payments. Bidding You may bid anytime once the bidding is open until it closes. Auctions typically run two weeks or more. You may put prebids in or wait to bid as lots are closing. You can put the next highest bid in or put a "max bid" in. A "max bid" is the highest you are willing to pay for an item. The computer will automatically bid for you as other bids come in. It works similar to Ebay. The computer won't put your higher bid in until someone else puts a bid in for the same item. When lots are closing and someone puts a bid in in the last minute or so, it will add some time to the lot so other people have a chance to bid. When the auction is closing, the lots close 15 seconds apart. However, we do what is called a "soft close." For a "soft close" when someone puts a bid within the last minute of ending, it will add another minute to the bidding so people can't sneak in a bid in the last few seconds without someone else having a chance to bid. Since there is a "soft close" the lots close out of order sometimes so be sure you are watching things closing if bidding as the lots are closing.
