Horkan, Jr. Trust, and Ann- Mari Lindgren Horkan have partnered with Damewood Auctioneers to sell the artwork, furniture, silver, Staffordshire, china, glassware, and books at Virtual Auction. This collection includes a portfolio of prints from local artist, Robin Hill, several rare books and volumes, quality fox hunting and sporting artwork, as well as decorations, silver, china and glassware befitting of a grand home in the Northern Piedmont region of Virginia. This auction will be a VIRTUAL BIDDING AUCTION. bronze is 15" T by 17" L. Northern Dancer, at a time, was held by Newstead Farm in Upperville, VA. Northern Dancer was a Thoroughbred who in 1964 became the first Canadian-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby. He then became one of the most successful sires of the 20th Century. Mr. George Horkan, Jr. served as a trustee of nearby Newstead Farm, which set a then-record for largest thoroughbred auction in 1985 when it underwent dispersal through Fasig-Tipton, at more than $46,000,000. 56
