On behalf of the Junior Market Livestock Exhibitors, we would like to express our gratitude for your continued interest and generosity in making our livestock auction successful each year. Your participation allows our Junior exhibitors to experience the marketing process and see the results of their efforts. Judging for this event will occur during the week of August 17-22.
The 2020 Livestock Auction will be held in the Grandstands of the UP State Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 22 beginning at 11AM EST. Auction order will be Grand and Reserve Champion animals, followed by remaining steers, lambs, hogs, and goats. Bidder numbers will be available under the Grandstand on sale day beginning at 9:00AM EST. Buyers will be allowed in the barns for viewing from 8am to 12pm on Saturday, August 22.
New this year is the opportunity to view and bid online at MichiganAuction.com. All exhibitors and animals can be viewed through the online catalog at the above website after August 11th. The online bidding allows supporters to bid before the auction date, and also while the auction is being conducted. Online bidders can tune into the live auction through their computer or phone to hear and respond to the auctioneer. In-person buyers will bid similar to traditional live auctions and will see very few differences.
