Listing Information

This stately and expansive Sudbury Colonial Home with a unique contemporary interior design is the place to be on the 21st of June. As is the case with many of our estate sale clients, the kids are grown and gone, the home no longer fits mom and dad's current needs, and they have a lifetime of wonderful items they no longer need. To help themselves out they've made the right choice, deciding to work with Precision Estate Sales to facilitate the downsizing and moving on process. That being said, let's take a look around the house to see what might be available. On a broader note, this home to mom, dad and three very active boys, now young men, is full of every item imaginable - great furnishings, classic and unique decorative items, kitchen items, home office, electronics, sporting goods, tools and more!

Let's do the tour. As PES shoppers enter the home they are met by the contrast of styles - colonial exterior - contemporary interior and it works. Featured in the Family Room is a great leather sofa, a Toshiba HDTV and surround sound system housed in a great entertainment center with drawers full of CD's and DVD's for your listening and viewing pleasure. Some great decorative items are found throughout this vaulted ceiling space as well. Just on the other side of the main entrance, where sits a round scrolled lag hall table is the formal living room with a lovely three piece living room suite made up of 2 arm chairs and a very comfortable sofa. The suite is accented by a rectangular glass and brass coffee table, as a well as an oval shaped contemporary glass and brass wet bar. The centerpiece in this room is a signed Al Buell "Lady Surfcasting" print, as well as additional prints, vases and lamps.

As we move to the formal dining room, all eyes are on the grand Thomasville dining set and china cabinet, featured as a set or buy just one, this contemporary style set would be a great addition to any home, the upholstered side and arm chairs are classic. The china cabinet houses some great collectible pieces, as well as some very nice table linens and accessories.

As shoppers continue to work their way around and through the main level the kitchen is next on the list. Here displayed in glass front cabinets is found higher end cookware (Pyrex & Corning Ware), glassware, kitchenware, serving pieces, barware and a great collection of cookbooks. Just off the kitchen is the everyday dining area featuring a nice set of table and chairs finished in maple and black. The last room on this level, the home office features a comfy sofa, a work desk, office items and even a brass spittoon.

Before PES shoppers leave terra firma and head for the second level via the grand staircase situated in the open and airy family room they'll need to check out the deck, sun porch and garage. The deck is its own little slice of sunshine with two white wood deck chairs, a sun chaise, accent side tables and a grill. The sun porch is home to patio set and two lovely bamboo and cane plantation style chairs. Almost forgot, in the backyard are a baseball pitch back and regulation size lacrosse net. Finally, onto the garage. Here the list of items just grows, mountain bikes, golf equipment, lacrosse equipment, tools - garden and hand, a refrigerator, some fishing equipment, more golf equipment, more lacrosse equipment and a wheel barrow.

Okay, back in the house at level 2 - the bedrooms. Oak contemporary bedroom sets with slatted headboards, nightstands, dressers and desk units are found in two of the four bedrooms. Finished in golden oak they are functional, sturdy and eye-catching. The master bedroom has some nice pieces as well, a carved-wood and brass-handled dressing unit, lowboy dresser and nightstand set, are of a classic design and could drop into any room at any time. The bedroom closets house a nice selection of men's and women's clothing.

As we get ready to finish up the tour, it's down two levels to the basement, part finished, there's a foosball table, an upholstered sectional and recliner and in the unfinished portion of the basement... is everything else. The home was staged to sell and this portion of the home took the hit, in a good way. Everything that wasn't needed to stage the house is down here - drum set, bikes, futons, card tables, another entire kitchen cabinet set, beds, free weights, a treadmill, a leather sectional sofa, more golf equipment, a new in box shop vac, pub-style table with chairs, rugs & carpets, stereo equipment & speakers, and oak dining table with chairs, kitchenware, china, tools, sports equipment, a guitar and a couple of hockey nets. It's packed.

Also forgot to mention there's a great selection of great decorative items, lamps, prints and pictures throughout.

Try not to miss this one; we also have a sale, same day in Medfield, so come to both!

Sale date is Saturday, June 21st, 8:30AM till 3:00PM (numbers at 8:00AM - NO SIGN-UP SHEET PLEASE) in Sudbury.
