Covid-19 Precautions are in effect for this sale
As of 6/9/20, the NJ governor has given the go-ahead for outdoor gatherings up to 100 people so the auction will happen! In an effort to remain as safe as possible during the re-opening phase for the state of New Jersey, we are using the protocols as recommended by the CDC for out door events. What does this mean for the sale held today? Each person will have their temperature taken prior to entering the property. Anyone who tests with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to proceed onto the property. All bidders will be required to wear masks or face protectors PROPERLY during the auction in its entirety. This includes during the preview, the auction itself and at checkout with the cashier. Your nose and mouth should always stay behind the mask. Individuals that refuse to wear their mask properly will be asked to leave.
There will be a designated area, isolated and away from the bidding audience to allow bidders to temporarily remove their masks if needed. This will be located at the back of the property.
Hand sanitizer will be available on-site.
There will be no food vendor for this sale, please bring your own snacks and beverages. Bring a chair.
Social distancing will be encouraged. Protocols for examining cases. The "cases and valuable smalls" area: Please practice social distancing where possible when waiting in line to examine the cases. Only two bidders at a time will be allowed inside to examine case contents. Please use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the cases and smalls area. In an effort to be as fair as possible, bidders will have a maximum of 5 minutes in which to examine the contents of cases. The bidder will then need to leave the case area. If the bidder did not have time to finish their examination, they may go to the back of the "cases" line and can go through again. The timer clock in this case will be re-set to give the bidder an additional 5 minutes to examine other items in the cases area. Protocols for Bidding Runners will not be delivering items directly into the hands of winning bidders. After an item has been hammered down to a bidder that item will be taken to an isolated table area. Once there, a staff person will note the winning bidder number on the item and leave it on the isolation table for the winning bidder to pick up.
Bidders will remain behind the caution tape line to keep the auction staff safe during the sale. |
