Listing Information
Award winning artist Arlene Mickelson’s life work has been the courtship and artistic marriage of two cultures; Native American and Japanese cultures. In 1976 Mickelson had her first exhibition. For the next eleven years she studied the legends that had fascinated her as a child, and sketched, carved and sculpted her timeless dreams of the great northwest. Mickelson’s work in several mediums is all award winning, each piece a show stopper. Her woodblock prints (each print an original) re-unite two cultures singing their harmony in the layered liquid colors of an ancient time. Mickelson’s bronze sculptures are ancient and wise, bold and free each with its own story. This sale is for items from the artist's personal residence. It will be a lovely mix of original framed artwork and sculpture along with lovely momentos collected from her travels. In addition, there will be everyday household items, art supplies, tools, home furnishings, furniture and more....A unique opportunity to purchase extraordinary artwork.
