Sale Details:
We have a wonderful sale to start off Grasons in 2019! This is a family estate of creative and artistic people...the former homeowner was an interior decorator and several others in the family have been artists and there are so many beautiful things.
Everyone will enter the home through the garage. There are some vintage engraving tools, garage items and artist paints/supplies along with a lovely sofa and white laminate cabinets that can be used inside and out. This is also where you will find the charming wrought iron love seat and coffee table as well as a glass top wrought iron round table.
As you enter the home you will see two bedrooms going straight down the hallway. The first room to your right has a full bed and a very nice light wood dresser. Heading to the master bedroom in the back, you will see the queen sized mattress with wicker/rattan headboard, the vintage German trunk from the 1800's, an armoire from Copenhagen Imports, side tables from Willow and Reed, a makeup table with skirt and more. This is where the majority of the costume and semi precious jewelry is being displayed as well. In the master bedroom closet are the very lovely linens and higher end women's clothes from various stores. You will also find leather boots as well as vintage designer shoes by Evan-Piccone and Bandolino. The Master bedroom also contains vintage purses from several lines and a variety of lovely signed Native American kachinas, medicine pouch, pencil sketches and other items.
Heading back to the main part of the home, be sure to look at the art work everywhere. Primarily watercolors from artists within the family, they are signed and vary widely in both size and subject. The den in the middle of the home has a very comfortable black leather mid modern design chair with ottoman from Copenhagen as well as a black patent leather chair from Tomlinson among other items. The family also collected and traded minerals and several items from their collection are also for sale in the den, as well as a wide variety of books and CD's.
Heading into the living room, you will see a beautiful buffet and dining room table from Henredon, a custom designed sofa in an Art Deco style, occasional chairs by Heritage and Grand Ledge and various occasional and end tables/lamps and smaller pieces. This is where you will find the complete set of dishware by Candelwick as well as other mid modern and fine china pieces, silver-plated pitchers, platters and much much more. Be sure to look under the dining room table for the brass display pieces and the various designer eggs and other pieces for collectors.
Don't forget to step into the kitchen to look at the like new cookware, etagere by Willow and Reed, teacart by Salterini and glass top table by Malla.
This is a lovely home with unique and beautiful one of a kind pieces everywhere you look. Come prepared to feast your eyes on all the lovely items...but be warned...it may be difficult to walk away without an empty wallet on this one! We look forward to seeing you on Friday and Saturday as we work together to liquidate this house!
Note: Please do NOT park in the pool area parking spots. You must park in the street on right hand side.
