TIMESAVERS ESTATE SALES PRESENTS:

A UNIQUE, ECLECTIC, UNUSUAL SALE OF TWO TALENTED ARTISTS!

NOTE: This house is super jammed packed and there will be many items not priced, so please be patient. We are digging through piles and piles but you may have to do some digging yourself.

Looking for the unusual, the unique, the eclectic, and/or the practical?  IT IS HERE!!!! Oh yes, we have never seen such a variety of items in one place. 

We are please to present this amazing sale of the estate of two talented artists....Genevieve Ruberti and Vasco Ruberti, who studied at the Art Institute and did some amazing work, here in Chicago and elsewhere.  Genevieve made the sculpture of the Beatles and Veronica and Archie (oh yes, and Elvis) at the Rock n Roll McDonald's, and her husband Vasco Ruberti, was an accomplished wood carver and also did sculptures for Disney, made the original Joe Camel, dinosaurs for the Field Museum and many more pieces. We will have a collage posted at the sale that will show you many of the wonderful pieces these wonderfully talented artists have made in the past. They also traded art with other artists, and we may have some unusual pieces at this sale.

There is also a great selection of Mid-Century Modern furniture, full bedroom set (super cool!) with quite a few matching pieces to that set that can be used in many ways and for other areas, a great leather and curved teak wood chair with ottoman, Herman Miller fiberglass shell chairs, Tulip table with fiberglass chairs (chair and table bases need some work), small mid-century slat bench, lots of VERY cool mid-century lamps, antique secretary/desk in nice condition, and lots more.

We have two smaller sized harps, really nice!  Attention WOOD WORKERS:  we have sets of sculpting/wood carving tools.  There are Asian fans,  parasol, ceramic items, figurines and costumed dolls, a collection of dragons, African masks, Capodimonte, carvings from Kenya, KPM figurines and others.

We have LOTS and LOTS of books of all types and genres, including but not limited to...Romance Novels, Folk Tale books, History Based books, Craft books, Hair Styling books and many, many others. There are books in many locations throughout the house.

We also have lots of VINTAGE TOYS and games, Elvis doll in box plus others, Robot, a box of Matchbook vintage cars Made In England.  We also have a large collection of various books and items related to Star Trek Items, Dr. Who, Anime, new type magazines in Japanese, Fan Fic's, Robotech comics, gothic magazines, science fiction and various items of that nature.  There are some Ninja Turtle and other vintage comics, magazines, old advertising, huge amount of old tins and we are just starting to uncover more things this week and will go into next week. 

There is a room full of dolls of all types and sizes, from large walking type doll to Barbies, Asian dolls, porcelain dolls, lots of Barbie clothes and accessories whch we are trying to sort, but you may be digging through these! 

There are all sorts of art pieces, some very unusual, a unique brightly painted box signed by Bob Lee, unique decor items, carved and sculptures of all types.  We have vintage kitchen and household (many small appliances from the 60's and 70's in original boxes) beautiful glassware including Depression, lovely Cambridge blue candlesticks and bowl set, so many sets of china (including Franciscan Ivy pattern)......GREAT selection of vintage bar ware including some really cool owl glasses, Seagram's pitcher, great cocktail glasses, you name it.  There are two lovely pieces of Higgins glass in turquoise. We have women's clothing including a vintage bridal dress and veil, shoes, purses, men's hats, large selection of vintage costume jewelry (even have some very cool men's cufflinks). 

We have posted lots of photos so far, and will be posting more as we go along with setup this week and next, along with more descriptions of what is all here as we discover.  There may be some digging at this sale, we most likely will not be utilizing the basement so space is tight and you will have to be patient, as we can only let in so many people at one time as this is a one story home.  You won't be disappointed at this one, and you will find something here that you will not find any other place!  MANY UNUSUAL ITEMS HERE FOR SURE!!
