As the opening lines of “Love Story” foretell, “Where do I begin…..” The word hoarder generally conjures up a negative image of rooms full of dusty, old boxes but this three generation family were collectors of dolls, doll houses, trains, toy model cars, books, records, cameras, trains, binoculars ,cameras, telescopes, world globes, trains, match box cars, vintage clothing, toys, model cars, trains, model airplanes and more. For the discriminating collector the names are envy worthy. Lionel, Marx, American Flyer, RCA Victor, Gilbert, Williams. For the tool lover, the heir’s grandfather built the house; his original tools are also featured. And for the Christmas lover, a room full of decorations and ephemera. Please note, anywhere you see a plural, in the above description, there are at least 10 of each item. |
