Listing Terms and Conditions
1. Auction merchandise may be inspected on Tuesdays and Wednesdays prior to auction time.
Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 5:30 AM - Auction Time
Misc. Office Hours: Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. – until end of auction
2. A Buyer Number is required to make purchases. Valid driver’s license is required. There is a $5.00 Buyer Card fee. Additional cards are $1.00. Buyer Cards expire at the end of each calendar year. New cards are required each calendar year.
3. No private exchange of merchandise between buyers and consignors. A penalty may be imposed for this violation.
4. Terms: Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover. 5% Buyer’s Premium will be added to all credit card payments.
5. Sales tax will be collected on all purchases unless a sales tax number is registered in office.
6. All merchandise is sold “as is” or as represented by consignor only. Shipshewana Auction, Inc. is not responsible for any consignor’s guarantee or statement.
7. Minimum opening bid accepted per item, per choice, per grouping of merchandise offered for auction will be $5.00.
8. All items, unless otherwise stated, are sold with a reserved bid.
9. Shipshewana Auction, Inc. assumes no responsibility for damaged or stolen merchandise of the buyer or seller.
10. Merchandise is 100 percent the responsibility of the seller prior to the sale of item, and 100 percent the responsibility of the buyer after the item is sold. Sold stickers are available in the office. Roll of 50 stickers = $3.00. Roll of 100 stickers = $4.00.
11. All merchandise must be removed the day of the auction. Storage of left over items will be assessed a fee of $25.00 per item.
12. All purchases must be paid day of purchase. 10% Buyer’s Premium will be added to any merchandise not paid day of sale.
13. 10% Buyer’s Premium will be added to all phone or absentee bids. Storage of items not removed the day of auction will be assessed a fee of $25.00 per item.
14. A parking permit or fee is required from Memorial Day through September. Season permits available in Misc. Office ($35 for season), all other fees collected by gate attendant. You are expected to park where you are directed.
15. Loading of merchandise inside of building is allowed after the auction is over. Overhead doors are to be operated by Shipshewana Auction personnel only.
16. See other side of sheet for auction building floor plan. Check office for starting times, starting positions and specialized area in auction building.

Our Miscellaneous & Antique Auction is held every Wednesday, year round. The auction starts by the sound of the bell at 9 am sharp! Eight to ten auctioneers will take up the auction cry. Our main market thrust is for the better quality antique and collectible items, however as one of our old time auctioneers, Argie, used to state, "We sell anything from soup to nuts!" 
 
Every Wednesday we have people in attendance from all across the country. Many of our customers are here every Wednesday, both buyers and sellers, while every Wednesday there are people in attendance for the very first time. First time or for the last 40 years, we appreciate your business. 
 
If you are interested in selling, give us a call to reserve your auction space. If you are wanting to buy - one time or a box truck full, this is the place!

Photos are uploaded as received by the vendors and each Tuesday evening by 5 pm, so check back often to see what has been added.
