Have you examined the wonderful watercolors? Make Art a gift for Christmas or New Year. ARTIST'S STUDIO ONLINE AUCTION is located in CLINTON, SC 29325. This sale ends Wednesday, December 27th. Pick-up starts at 9 AM, Friday, December 29th. Genie Marshall Wilder was born Oct, 11,1933, in Rock Hill, S.C. She went to school at Winthrop Training School in Rock Hill and Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C., evolving into a skilled artist. She received the Outstanding Career Achievement Award at Converse College. Using oils and watercolors, she gained wide recognition in the national, regional and state art world. She was a member of the National Watercolor Association, Midwest Watercolor Association, and associations in Georgia, and South Carolina. She was the founding member of the South Carolina Watercolor Association. She won art competitions from New York to Los Angeles. Her art work has been displayed in the U.S. Congress, banks, colleges and universities, industries and many private collections. One of her most famous pieces is a watercolor entitled "Tea Time", prints of which SC ETV used as a premium in one of its fund campaigns. That original is in the State Museum. She was appointed to the South Carolina Arts Commission by Gov. Richard Riley and she served six years. Health problems which have affected her ability. She's now retired. She and her husband of 63 years, Donny, now live in Charleston, SC.
Tea Time Lithographs, and others are being "DUTCH AUCTIONED". Dutch Auction is used when there are multiple identical items to sell. The bidder bids a price (like a normal auction), but then selects the quantity he/she wishes to buy at that price. We have approximately 250 Tea Time lithographs.
