Preview/Inspection: Friday August 25 from 9:00am – 5:00pm EDT

Lots will start ending on Sunday August 27 at 7:00pm EDT – Bids will extend as long as bids are being placed.  The auction will probably take approximately 2 – 2 1/2 hours to complete.  It is possible for Lot #1 to continue throughout the sale and not close until the end, IF people continue to bid and continue to extend the bidding on that item.  An on line auction does not operate the same as ebay.  Ebay has a set closing time where an on line auction does not have a set closing time.  Once the sale is over, you will notice that it was a “soft” close.  All that means is nothing is finalized until we get into the office on Monday morning and do the computer work associated with this particular auction.  Once we do that it becomes a hard close.  Should you be the high bidder on an item when it closes, you will see a message that says “you may have won”.  On Monday morning you will recieve an email confirming the items that you have won.

Pick up/Removal:  Monday August 28 from 9:00am – 5:00pm EDT – If you would like to pay by cash or check for your purchase, you may do so at our office located at 6729 Pleasant Ridge Rd. Knoxville, TN  37921 until 12:00pm (noon).  After noon, all outstanding invoices will be charged to the credit card on file.

**SHIPPING IS NOT BEING OFFERED ON THIS SALE**  The exception to this is firearms and ammunition.  We WILL ship firearms to your local FFL dealer once we have recieved a copy of their license.  They should email a copy of their license to dave@powellauction.com.  All firearms will be shipped via USPS.  All ammunition will be shipped via UPS.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Firearms: Out of State Purchases: ALL will be shipped to an FFL DEALER ONLY!!! (NO C&R dealers) Including ALL BLACK POWDER!! NO Exceptions!!!      This is our company policy.  If you do not want your firearm shipped to a FFL dealer, then DO NOT BID.    NO SALES to CALIFORNIA or HAWAII!!! Ammo: NO SALES to Alaska, California, Hawaii or Massachusetts. It is YOUR responsibility to know YOUR state laws, BEFORE bidding!!!

In State Purchases: ALL firearms are subject to TBI background checks, (regardless of age).
$10 for every 3 guns. 10.00 each, if gun has no serial number. Gun Parts will be subject to TBI background check. Black powder guns with interchangeable barrels will be subject to TBI background check.
Must have a valid Drivers License with a Photo. Must be 18 years old for long guns & 21 years old for handguns. Must be 21 years old for a pistol grip long gun. Please check our website under gun rules for more details. Disclosure on Firearms Sale on website and receipt that firearms have not been tested or inspected for firing. Before firing, it is the BUYERS responsibility to have firearms inspected by a gunsmith. Buyer agrees to hold Powell Auction & Realty LLC harmless for any claim, injury or malfunction.
