Listing Terms and Conditions |
---|
Terms and Conditions:
1. Southern Estates has endeavored to openly present all items being sold. All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults. There are no warranties or representations of merchantability, genuineness, provenance, age, condition, nor of any other kind, express or implied. 2. All items are available for your purchase during the sale. Your purchase will signify that you have examined the items as fully as desired, or that you have chosen not to examine them. 3. Southern Estates reserves the right to withdraw any property before the sale. 4. In purchasing an item offered, the purchaser indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale. Title of each item passes when the purchaser pays for items. 5. Southern Estates reserves the right to accept or reject offers less than price marked on the tag, which Southern Estates deems to be in the best interest of the client, the seller. 6. Southern Estates will be the final judge as to who is the successful purchaser. 7. Payment may be made by cash, or personal check (local banks only.) MasterCard/Visa and other major credit cards accepted with proper identification. 8. We deliberately do not publish the house # until the evening prior to the first day of the sale to avoid early visitors. 9. There is always plenty of good signage. 10. Starting about an hour before opening, we hand out numbers so that our customers can wait in their cars, or run a quick errand. Often folks are waiting for numbers long before we even arrive, so it’s a good idea to get there early - if there is something in particular you are interested in. These early arrivals should politely work out their order on their own. (In case of appointment sale terms will be describe when you set up appointment.) 11. We do not offer previews, nor do we pre-sell… that would be most disappointing to our customers. We also do not keep an inventory list, or price sheet, with us so we may not be able to answer those kinds of inquiries prior to the sale. That said, we will be as accommodating as possible. 12. Please remember to avoid parking on any lawns, blocking driveways and mailboxes, and park ONLY on one side of the street so that vehicles can pass. We will always support law enforcement’s efforts to maintain safety and order. (In case of appointment sale terms will be describe when you set up appointment.) 13. We have several workers facilitating the flow of the sale. Most of these move from room to room answering questions and marking larger items as SOLD for customers. Some are authorized to negotiate, some are not. 14. In order to “stake your claim†on an item you cannot carry, you must request that a worker mark it with your name and make payment within 1 hour. As a rule we do not “Hold†items for consideration, or trips to the bank. Only committed purchases will be marked “SOLDâ€. 15. We usually have a dolly and a few simple tools for your use, but you MUST bring your own muscle to move large or heavy items…we have neither the strength nor availability to move your purchases. All purchases must be removed by sale’s end. Bringing your own boxes, bags, and packing materials is a great idea as we tend to run out quickly. 16.Only small ladies’ handbags/purses and shopping totes/boxes will be permitted at sales, and all containers are subject to inspection for the security of our clients’ property. 17. Discounts are typically offered the final day of the sale. While we love to make our customers happy, our first priority is to our client(s)–to make them the greatest return possible on their property. We feel that we price the inventory fairly for our buyers from the outset and will begin to discount/entertain offers as a means to stimulate sales and move the inventory. This process varies from sale to sale, therefore we do not offer blanket discounts as some other liquidation businesses do. Rather, we negotiate until the final moments of the sale! |
