The Proctor family has been in business locally in New Bern, NC for over 30 years. Proctor Auctions was established in 2013 and has grown over the years to specialize in high end, high volume, furniture and general estate auctions, business liquidations, and real estate. Our auctions are held in our modern, 17,000 square foot facility at 2514 Neuse Blvd in New Bern. We have, and always will be, family owned and operated.
Justin Proctor is a lifelong New Bern resident and first generation auctioneer, but he has always been around the auction business. The home he grew up in was bought at auction, his first car came from an auction, and he can tell you every gas station with good hot dogs in a 100 mile radius from attending auctions with his father as a youth. Justin grew up in the furniture industry and learned a great deal about furniture and the auction business in general while working with his mother, Samantha, and father, Paul. Justin is an ECU alumnus with a concentration in business and marketing. He attended both LCC's auctioneering school and the Worldwide College of Auctioneering. Justin is also a licensed North Carolina real estate broker. Justin now owns the auction business with his wife Sarah, and their darling daughter, Gabriella.
We strive to offer quality items through consignment or outright purchase, and we are able to act on estates very quickly. All items are handled with the utmost honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Our fast paced, fun auctions always feature a wide variety of home furnishings, including bedroom sets, dining room sets, accent tables/chairs, upholstery, rugs, mirrors, pictures, and home accessories. Every style and period is represented to include antique, vintage, retro, modern, contemporary, and mid century. Our auctions typically feature some brand new merchandise as well!
Our furniture offerings are generally quality, real wood items, with woods ranging from cherry, mahogany, walnut, oak, maple, pine, and numerous others. We sell everything from the dishes in the kitchen cabinet to the cars in the garage and everything in between - furniture, home accessories, antiques, glassware, tools, guns, jewelry, boats, RV's, motorcycles, trailers, and more.
